The AI-Era Major

What is Strategy?

BYU has one of the only undergraduate strategy majors in the world — a discipline almost always reserved for MBA programs. Strategy trains the cross-functional judgment that connects every business discipline: the ability to synthesize financial analysis, market data, operations, and competitive dynamics into a coherent plan of action. AI makes that skill set more powerful, not more replaceable.

Case Method

Analyze real strategic decisions across industries — the same approach used at Harvard Business School, applied at the undergraduate level. Builds pattern recognition and executive-level thinking.

Consulting & Product Projects

Run real consulting engagements for external clients. In the product track, build and ship AI-enabled digital products from scratch using cutting-edge tools.

AI-Native Training

AI is woven into coursework as a working tool for research, modeling, competitive analysis, and prototyping. Graduates enter the workforce already fluent in AI-augmented strategy.

Digital Strategy Consulting Intern, Adobe

The strategy program has given me a strong functional skill set and a deep understanding of how businesses really work and win! I’m excited about the direction the program is heading, especially as strategy continues to adapt and lean into AI in ways that will equip students to excel in their careers.
