Mentorship is a core part of the BYU Strategy experience. These relationships support your growth — academically, professionally, and personally — from your first semester through graduation and beyond.
Peer mentorship
Every junior in the program is paired with a senior mentor. Recent experience makes them practical guides on course choices, recruiting, case prep, and program culture.
Strategy Club Presidencies
Experienced student leaders run program-wide initiatives, events, and communications — and serve as informal mentors and connectors into opportunities, alumni, and faculty.
Alumni Directory
All Strategy alumni are mentors. Browse by company, role, or location, then reach out on LinkedIn. Alumni are generally very responsive on career conversations, mock interviews, and resume feedback.

Strategy Advisement
Lisa Giguere, Strategy's academic advisor, is your first point of contact for academic planning — declaring the major, course sequencing, prerequisites, graduation planning, second majors or minors, and internship timing.
Leland coaching partnership
Receive an interview offer from a top firm that has a Leland coach? Strategy students get a 45-minute mock interview/coaching session at no cost — a benefit unique to this program.

Faculty are highly accessible. Whether you're interested in research, considering graduate school, or exploring a specialized career path, one-on-one faculty conversations are open to you — and often last well beyond BYU.
